No UPI Charges For Now: MDR Proposal Delayed

UPI users can continue making payments without the proposed merchant transaction charges for now, as the implementation of Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) fees has been deferred. The plan involved a 0.4% charge on merchant payments exceeding ₹2,000, capped at ₹300. The charges would apply only to merchant transactions, offering big relief to users and businesses.
