Flower prices have surged across HYD as Bathukamma celebrations begin today. Reduced supplies, due to inadequate rainfall, have pushed prices higher at Gudimalkapur wholesale market. Marigolds are selling at ₹150-180 per kg, chrysanthemums at ₹300-400, and roses at ₹200-250. Retail prices are even higher, leaving women worried about rising expenses.
