Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar will be honoured today in the US Congressional Record for his bravery in saving 172 passengers and crew aboard a Flydubai flight. Despite suffering serious injuries during an alleged axe attack by the first officer, Machchhar helped prevent a catastrophe. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi announced the recognition yesterday.
