The INDIA bloc has called a 12-hr Odisha bandh today over the new mining law, alleged errors in school textbooks and irregularities in the SIR electoral-roll exercise. Congress and allied parties are demanding action against Gyanesh Kumar and the state education minister. The BJD, however, has decided to stay away, maintaining equidistance from BJP and Congress.
