Meta removed 5.3 million child sexual exploitation posts from Facebook and Instagram in India between January and June 2026. Over 98% were detected before users reported them. Meta is adding AI tools to find hidden abuse, harmful links and repeat offenders. It will also report child safety cases directly to India’s cybercrime portal.
