Milk prices in Karnataka may increase by Rs 8 per litre after the state Cabinet agreed to the proposal. Milk unions had demanded a Rs 10 hike to cover rising costs. However, the increase needs Election Commission approval as the Model Code of Conduct is in force. Prices will rise only after the government receives permission and issues an official order.
