Former TMC candidate Pabitra Kar is missing from Nandigram’s political scene ahead of the bypoll. His wife, Shiuli Kar, said he is no longer active in politics. Kar had contested against Suvendu Adhikari in the 2026 Assembly election after switching from the BJP to TMC. His absence comes as Nandigram votes in a crucial by-election.
