AP Local Polls: YSRCP Knocks On Supreme Court's Door

The opposition YSRCP has approached the Supreme Court challenging the Andhra Pradesh High Court's verdict on the upcoming local body polls. The party argued that polls should be conducted only after completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The High Court, on Oct 1, permitted ward delimitation, clearing the way for the poll process.
