G7 leaders have agreed to release 100 million barrels of crude oil and diesel from strategic reserves over four months to ease fuel-price pressures. The coordinated release, through the IEA, will include a major diesel release within 20 days. G7 nations also pledged to avoid energy export restrictions and urged other producers to follow suit.
