Heavy rain lashed Mumbai yesterday, causing severe waterlogging in low-lying areas. The IMD issued a yellow warning, forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and more showers today. Rainfall was heavier in the eastern and western suburbs. Heavy rain is also expected across parts of southern India, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
