India secured its seventh gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 after Preethika Pradeep, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Chikita Taniparthi defeated China 238-234 in the women's compound archery final in Aichi-Nagoya. India led throughout all four rounds, finishing with perfect 10s to match the world record score of 238. India's overall medal tally reached 53.
