Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has barred manufacturers from using images of mothers or children on infant food packaging. The move follows rules regulating breast-milk substitutes and infant foods, aiming to prevent products from being idealised or promoted over breastfeeding. Manufacturers have been directed to comply with the regulations.
