Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay announced Rs 50 lakh for squash player Abhay Singh after his silver in the men's singles at the Asian Games in Japan. Vijay said the win brought pride to Tamil Nadu and India and hoped it would inspire young athletes. Singh earlier won team gold and mixed doubles bronze at the Hangzhou Games, and the Indian Open title this year.
