A Dalit man, Ram Milan, was assaulted in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district after his hand touched an upper-caste man, Santosh Yadav, while taking a paan. Yadav and his son allegedly abused him with casteist slurs, beat him with sticks, and stole Rs 35,000. Ram Milan filed a complaint. The incident occurred on September 24 under Girwan Police Station.
