Mumbai witnessed a grand farewell to Lord Ganesh as thousands of devotees joined immersion processions on the final day of Ganeshotsav. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said 16,154 idols were immersed by 9 PM. Over 24,000 police personnel and 25,000 civic staffers were deployed to manage crowds, safety, traffic and immersion arrangements across the city.
