TGHRC Seeks Details On Safety Lapses In Adilabad RIMS Fire

The Telangana Human Rights Commission took suo motu cognisance of a fire at Adilabad RIMS newborn unit that killed five infants on Sept 21. It sought a report from the Health Principal Secretary on air-conditioning, electrical fittings, fire alarms, and evacuation arrangements. The matter is posted to October 27. An AC unit exploded after a suspected short circuit.
