Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has asked Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to reconsider the state government’s order limiting Vande Mataram to two stanzas at official events. Gehlot urged the government to follow existing Union guidelines on the National Song. The Karnataka High Court is also examining challenges to the order.
