AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi urged Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy to name Mamnoor Airport after freedom fighter Moulvi Syed Alauddin. In a letter, Owaisi said the airport was built in the 1930s under Nizam rule. Alauddin took part in the 1857 revolt and was jailed in Cellular Jail. The CM had sought name suggestions after land acquisition was completed.
