The father of deceased IIT-Bombay student Sahil Wakode has sought action against those he alleges subjected his son to caste-based discrimination. Mumbai Police registered an abetment-to-suicide case naming Professor Suryanarayan Doolla. IIT-Bombay has denied caste discrimination, while the investigation has been transferred to the Crime Branch.
