Krishna Mukerji, mother of Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji, passed away at 75. Yash Raj Films announced the news on September 22, requesting privacy for the grieving family. Krishna was a playback singer linked to Bengali cinema and wife of filmmaker Ram Mukherjee. She is survived by Rani, son Raja, and granddaughter Adira. Cause of death was not disclosed.
