Vijay Sethupathi confirmed Maharaja 2 is in development, with director Nithilan Saminathan narrating the story. He also offered to act in the Hollywood remake of Maharaja for free, after the rights were sold. Producer Sudhan Sundaram said an A-list star is being sought, possibly Matthew McConaughey.
