The Centre has reduced windfall taxes on petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) exports. The petrol levy is now ₹0.50 per litre, the diesel levy is ₹20, and the ATF levy is ₹15. The revised rates will apply from September 16. Domestic petrol and diesel excise duties remain unchanged. The move follows changing global crude oil prices.
