An NIA court has awarded the death penalty to all 10 convicts in the 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh, which killed 29 people, including senior Congress leaders. The accused were convicted on September 5 under the IPC, Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act and UAPA. Their lawyer plans to appeal the verdict in a higher court.
