Dr Ankita Yaragal, niece of Karnataka MLA Umesh Meti, allegedly drew Rs 75,000 monthly as a Namma Clinic medical officer without attending work since March 3, while pursuing an MD in Pathology. An inquiry by Bagalkot Zilla Panchayat CEO found her absent; she skipped a hearing. Her father, the District Health Officer, has relieved her from the post.
