A Karnataka medical officer, Dr Ankita Yaragal, is under inquiry for allegedly drawing a Rs 75,000 monthly salary without attending her Namma Clinic in Bagalkot. The MLA's niece was reportedly pursuing an MD course instead. She skipped a hearing and must appear on September 18. Her father, the DHO, has relieved her from the post.
