Iron Lady Of Assam Makes History With CoBRA Role

Sanjukta Parashar, popularly known as the “Iron Lady of Assam", has taken charge as Inspector General of CRPF’s elite CoBRA unit. A 2006-batch IPS officer, she becomes the first woman to lead the specialised jungle-warfare force. Her extensive counter-insurgency and national security experience adds significance to the historic appointment.
