A tripartite MoU between the Union Government, West Bengal Government and Airports Authority of India will be signed on Sept 23 for developing four regional airports. The proposed sites are Chharra, Balurghat, Hasimara and Kalaikunda. The state will provide land and essential services, while the Centre will develop infrastructure and AAI will manage air traffic.
