The BJP has announced candidates for two West Bengal Assembly bypolls. Hasirani Rath, mother of late aide Chandranath Rath, will contest from Nandigram. Sakharav Sarkar has been named for Rejinagar. Aged 62, Hasirani has worked in local politics and served on the Chandipur Panchayat Samiti. She joined the BJP after Suvendu Adhikari switched parties.
