AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticised Home Minister Amit Shah’s plan to introduce the Uniform Civil Code in 21 BJP-NDA states before 2029. Owaisi said UCC could hurt India’s pluralism and minorities. He also opposed the NRC and SIR process, claiming they could create hardships for ordinary people, especially minorities, migrants and weaker sections.
