India's wholesale price index inflation rose to 9.92% in August from 9.78% in July, government data showed. Fuel and Power inflation climbed to 22.93%, while Primary Articles stood at 7.76% and Manufactured Products at 8.37%. The WPI Food Index inflation increased to 7.05%, with petroleum products, food articles and basic metals among major drivers.
