Telangana BJP chief Ramchander Rao has demanded that Sept 17 be observed as Hyderabad Liberation Day. He credited Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's efforts for Hyderabad's integration with India following Operation Polo. Rao said that successive BRS and Congress govts avoided marking the occasion. He urged the state govt to celebrate the day as Liberation Day.
