The ongoing bank strike disrupted cash deposits, withdrawals and cheque clearances across public sector banks. In Madhya Pradesh, nearly 7,000 branches were affected, impacting daily business worth ₹5,500 crore. Around 42,000 employees and officers joined the strike, disrupting fixed deposit renewals, treasury work and other financial services.
