"Epic: First Semester" is a passable love drama with decent performances from Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya. Their chemistry, occasional comedy and Hesham's music add appeal. However, repetitive writing, sluggish progression and prolonged relationship drama weaken the film, while its emotional payoff arrives too late. #Rating: 2.75/5.
