The Supreme Court today sought the Centre's response to a plea seeking stronger safeguards against children's exposure to sexual exploitation and abuse material online. A bench led by CJI Surya Kant observed that "firewalls are very necessary for children." The plea seeks stronger age verification, content filtering and platform safeguards to protect minors.
