Punjab government employees withdrew their protest today after the state agreed to increase dearness allowance (DA). The decision followed a meeting with Punjab Chief Secretary KAP Sinha. The government also withdrew the show-cause notice issued on August 27. A meeting with CMBhagwant Mann is expected soon to discuss the agreement further.
