The SC today rebuked Gautam Budh Nagar officials for issuing a preventive notice to 20-year-old law student Akshat Tripathi over alleged anti-government propaganda and protest mobilisation. CJI Surya Kant said the notice prima facie breached the court's Sept 1 order protecting students from coercive action over CJP protests and directed officials to explain.
