Former Delhi Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta, a 1975-batch IAS officer, passed away. He served as Delhi CS from 2007 to 2010 under former CM Sheila Dikshit and played a role in infrastructure projects linked to the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Mehta also served as MCD commissioner. Noida Phase-2 police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
