A police complaint was filed in Kolkata against Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Shastri for "hurting Bengali sentiments" over his remarks on non-veg consumption during Durga Puja. Bengal minister Dilip Ghosh played down the controversy, saying saints speak from their perspective and that goat meat is traditionally consumed as prasad in Bengal.
