The Odisha Cabinet has approved the Shree Jagannath Temple Land Management Rules, 2026, to improve transparency and efficiency. The rules introduce online applications, district-level scrutiny, mandatory temple committee NOCs, revised valuation norms, GIS-based land mapping and an appeal mechanism. They will remain valid for 2 years after Gazette publication.
