Tehran described its ties with India as long-standing, historic and civilizational ahead of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to New Delhi for the BRICS Summit. Iran said it hopes to use the summit to expand trade and economic cooperation, with Chabahar Port and connectivity among key priorities. Both sides also discussed regional peace and stability.
