ISRO Chief V Narayanan hailed the successful GSLV-F17 mission, saying EOS-05 was placed into its intended orbit and remains in perfect health. He called it an important achievement, noting it is India's first Earth observation satellite placed in geosynchronous orbit. The satellite is expected to operate for seven years, with confidence it could last nine.
