Ex-Panihati Civic Chief Arrested In RG Kar Case

West Bengal Police arrested absconding former Panihati Municipality Chief Somnath Dey in Bengaluru today. Somnath is the third co-accused in the alleged conspiracy behind the hurried cremation of the RG Kar rape-murder victim's body in August 2024. He will be brought to Kolkata and produced before Barrackpore court, where police custody will be sought.
