An analysis of Election Commission data shows that about 7.77 lakh of Hyderabad’s 19.41 lakh voters removed from the draft roll have Muslim names, around 40%. The names were marked absent, shifted, dead or duplicate. Voters can submit claims and objections until September 16 to restore their names to the electoral roll.
