BJP spokesperson Narayanan Thirupathy alleged Rahul Gandhi is preparing excuses for a possible electoral defeat while opposing the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. He defended SIR as necessary reform, saying duplicate, dead and shifted voters must be removed. Thirupathy also criticised TN's government spending and supported farmers' right to protest.
