Heavy rainfall has swollen rivers and streams across Uttarakhand, raising concerns over flooding and landslides. The IMD has forecast heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning in several districts over next few days. Haldwani recorded 192 mm of rain in 24 hours, while the Bin, Gaula and Shipra rivers witnessed sharp rises in water levels, disrupting normal life.
