Mumbai commuters will pay more for black-and-yellow taxis and auto-rickshaws from September 1. The MMRTA has approved a ₹2 taxi fare hike and ₹1 increase for autos. Minimum taxi fare will rise to ₹33 from ₹31, while autos will cost ₹27 instead of ₹26 for the first 1.5 km, raising travel costs. The revised fares are expected to impact daily commuters.
