Over 3 lakh Punjab government employees and 4 lakh pensioners will join a statewide strike on August 27 over pending DA dues. Government offices, schools, colleges, OPDs and buses will remain closed, while emergency hospital services will continue. Employees are also demanding the old pension scheme and regularisation of contract workers.
