Former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina called the 2004 Dhaka grenade attack one of the country's "most brutal and shameful" chapters. The attack killed 24 Awami League leaders and activists and injured over 300. Hasina narrowly escaped and accused the then BNP-Jamaat coalition government of backing the attack, urging youth to study history objectively.
