The Calcutta High Court allowed rebel TMC MLA Ritabrata Banerjee to continue as West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition for now. A division bench directed a single bench to hear a petition challenging his appointment within two months. The case was filed by TMC MLA Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay against Speaker Rathindra Bose’s decision.
