The Supreme Court today announced it would constitute a high-powered committee to examine allegations of police excesses during last month's students' protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. The panel is likely to include a former Supreme Court judge, a former HC Chief Justice, and a retired Director General-level officer. Its composition will be announced on Aug 19.
